South Carolina: Trump Wins, Rubio and Cruz Round Out the Top Three

In what may come as a surprise to a select few, Donald Trump has won the South Carolina Presidential Primary with over 32% of the vote. Following Trump, Florida Senator Marco Rubio finished second, Texas Senator Ted Cruz will finish in third place. Rounding out the results we appear to have Jeb Bush, John Kasich, and Ben Carson all set to finish in that order but within one percentage point of each other.

The big news coming out of today’s contest is that former Florida Governor Jeb Bush has announced he is suspending his campaign, albeit later than many had hoped. It also appears that the endorsement of Marco Rubio by South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley was the final push needed to bring the Florida Senator into second place.

Now, the candidates look towards Nevada where Trump, Cruz, and Rubio are set to continue this fiery contest in the desert. Look to see more attacks on Marco Rubio from Donald Trump, it will be interesting to see how Rubio responds and how, if at all, it will affect his campaign, but also look out for the Rubio/Cruz feud that appears to only be growing as this campaign continues.

Regardless of what has been said before, this is truly a three-man race, and may the best man win.
