Stephen Perkins: Trump’s Cabinet Picks Could Yield an Optimistic Future

On this week’s podcast, I share why I should never go to a honkey tonk again. I also discuss three of Trump’s cabinet appointments who are facing Senate confirmation hearings in the next few weeks.

First, Jeff Sessions’ confirmation hearing has been tense, with his political opponents unable to make up their mind about his qualifications for the Attorney General job. Next, Rex Tillerson will field questions later this week about the future of America’s foreign policy, especially given his close ties with Vladimir Putin. Finally, with a hearing scheduled for next week, can Betsy DeVos convince the Senate that school choice and education reform is the right things to do? Given how weak our education system is, I sure hope so.
